The Dwelling Place is a small Christian community of faith in Indianapolis, Indiana. The DP exists to help people resist empty ways of life by becoming fully human in the way of Jesus. We desire to be a refuge or sanctuary, a place of rest and freedom to be yourself, where we connect with God and one another by joining Jesus’ mission to bless the world.

We love anything by Laurie Berkner. Her catchy, upbeat tunes are so much fun to listen to that I actually enjoy listening along with my boys. Also, she was a music teacher before she started performing, and the lyric sheets for her CDs include lots of neat ideas on what you can teach your little ones about music using some of her songs.

We love the cd "Veggie Rocks"-it's all the old veggie tunes with groups like Newsboys, Relient K, Sanctus Reel, etc. Our kids also love Newsboys, Toby Mac, Hawk Nelson. We find it a good time to discuss the lyrics, or as Kimber would say "backdoor theology."

If you want a lullaby album that you can all enjoy, I highly recommend "Golden Slumbers: A Father's Lullaby" by Dave Koz. It's so sweet and smooth that it almost always quiets my overtired boys on the way home, and it calms my frazzled nerves so I can concentrate on driving.
