Food for Picky Kids

Are there any meals or food products that your children especially enjoy? How about restaurants? Have you come across one that is really family friendly and a bit less stressful for the times when you've got the kids in tow? We'd love to hear about it.

Believe it or not, PF Chang's is one of our preschooler's favorite places to eat. He loves the Chicken Lo Mein. Granted, the atmosphere might seem a bit pretentious for little ones at first, but with the open kitchen it's pretty loud in there so that the noise your children make is pretty well covered up. Another favorite of our little guy is MCL (he calls it CML). Besides the food, I think he likes the abundance of elderly people who are ready to ooh and ahh over little people. For a little faster food, we like Fazoli's or Chick-Fil-A for a change of pace from the normal burgers. CFA is a bit pricey, but it's really nice to have that play area. Plus the food is really good.

One meal our entire family enjoys is a yummy mexican chicken soup made with chicken broth, taco seasoning, cream of chicken, chicken chunks, sour cream, and cilantro. We serve it with tortilla chips and it is always a hit.

Sand, dirt and insects. They seem to find them naturally and these useful items don't require cooking. And insects are full of protein! Who knows what dirt is full of, but I used to enjoy it as a child. Yes, I'm feeling ornery tonight...I know it's hard to tell.
